Families
Childbirth and Parenthood Preparation Classes
Congratulations on beginning your journey into parenthood! As
part of the total family-centered care provided to you during
your pregnancy, the Childbirth and Parenting Preparation Program
offers many educational opportunities. These include prepared
childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes, and parenting
classes. All of the classes are
taught by registered nurses certified in childbirth education.
Registration is required.
Tours of the Obstetrics
Department of Penn State Women's Health Unit are provided
weekly. Families will see Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and the
Newborn Nursery. Tours last 30 minutes. Please call (717)

Breastfeeding Resource Program
The Breastfeeding Resource Program
at Penn State Hershey Medical Center gives expectant mothers and new
parents the information and support to achieve a fulfilling
breastfeeding experience.
