Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Support Group

This group is open to anyone with PCOS.  It will cover all aspects of PCOS and provide a casual environment for women to come together to learn more about the syndrome while sharing ideas and thoughts.

Registration is required at least one week in advance of all meetings.

2nd  Tuesday of each month.
Topics:
  • January PCOS General Infornation Meeting
    This meeting will focus on all aspects of PCOS.  Come and share your personal experiences or, if you have been recently diagnosed, come for more information about the syndrome.
  • February Husbands and Significant Others Meeting
    This meeting will be for all the husbands and significant others to come and discuss how being with someone with PCOS affects them.
  • March Natural Remedies
    This meeting will focus on natural treatments such as herbal remedies, relaxation techniques, aromatherapy, and homeopathy.
  • April Long-Term Effects
    This meeting will focus on the long-term effects of PCOS, such as cardiovascular disease and endometrial cancer.
  • May Infertility
    This meeting is for women who have been trying to conceive, are currently pregnant or have been pregnant.
  • June Loss
    This meeting is for anyone who has experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage.
  • July Hirsutism/Male Pattern Baldness
    This meeting will focus on excess hair as well as hair loss, including causes and treatments.
  • August Diet/Nutrition/Exercise
    Healthy food and weight loss will be discussed.
  • September Stress/Anxiety
    Focus will be on the psychological effects of living with PCOS.
  • October "Scrambled: One Woman's Journey through PCOS"
    We will be viewing the movie and have a discussion afterwards.
