Organizational Skills
- Demonstrate punctuality.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner (tasks related to the
office visit, reading assignments, projects, etc.).
- Document the patient's care encounter using the SOAP format.
- Demonstrate effective case presentation skills both oral and
written.
Practice Management
- Accurately complete the face sheet of the encounter form.
- Identify the patient's source of payment and discuss the impact on the
patient's health care.
- Understand the health care system, and the managed care delivery system,
working with them to maximize patient care.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the professional and ethical issues
facing the primary care physician, including the role of the physician as part
of the managed care system.
