Question 4: If you could only check two things on the eye exam, what would you choose?

Answer:

Ciliary Flush and pupillary abnormalities
are very important in differentiating the different causes of Red Eye.
Ciliary Flush: Deep conjunctival and episcleral vessels are dilated adjacent and circumferential to the corneal limbus. They cast a violet hue characteristic of ciliary flush. This is best seen in natural light.
