Question 11: What types of therapy and prognosis can you offer her?
Answer:
Bacterial:
- 2-4 days with treatment
- 10-14 days w/out treatment
Viral:
- 10 days for pharyngitis with conjunctivitis
- 3-4 wks for epidemic keratoconjunctivitis
- 2-3 wks for herpes simplex
Chlamydial:
- 3-5 wks for trachoma with treatment
- 3-9 months for untreated inclusion conjunctivitis
