Case #11

Final Diagnosis

Since this was MP's first UTI, we treat her empirically with TMP-SMX for 3 days and instruct her to return if her symptoms do not resolve or if she experiences fever, CVA tenderness, or a worsening of symptoms. We also instruct her on the importance of using condoms for disease prevention.
