"With a STROKE,
minutes matter...and so does the hospital"
Stroke is a medical emergency. New treatments
and interventions are now available that may reverse or reduce
the effects of a stroke if administered early enough. The Penn
State Stroke Center’s Stroke Neurologists are available 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week to evaluate and treat patients with acute
stroke. The latest catheter delivered clot-busting treatments –
including the Merci© Retrieval Device – are also available
around-the-clock.
Know your stroke risk factors
and learn to recognize the
signs and symptoms of a
stroke. Remember stroke is a medical emergency where
minutes matter. If you think you are experiencing a stroke call
911.
