Shared Facilities Research
Emerging Cancer
Informatics Core
Director: Richard Rauscher, M.S.
The
Cancer Informatics Core facility was formed to address the
application development and data storage and management needs of
the Cancer Center scientists. Adhering closely to the standards
of the Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG), the Cancer
Informatics Core produces systems that are compliant with the
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). All applications developed
by Cancer Informatics are best described as "n-tiered" to
maximize flexibility, code reuse and minimize labor.
The
Cancer Informatics charges back to investigators based on an
hourly blended rate.
