Susan
Rzucidlo is administratively responsible for the Pediatric Trauma
Program. She works closely with Dr. Cilley, the Pediatric Trauma
Program Medical Director to determine the direction of the program
and to ensure that all areas of the Children's Hospital that care
for trauma patients meet the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems
Foundations Standards.
As a trauma clinical nurse specialist, Susan Rzucidlo promotes
excellence and efficiency in pediatric trauma care through a
family centered and multidisciplinary
approach. Included
in her responsibilities are trauma education, injury prevention
and research activities.
Susan
graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing in
1979 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing.
In 1992, she graduated from the Duquesne University,
Pittsburgh,PA with a Master's in Nursing degree specializing
in education and trauma nursing.
Susan began
at the Hershey Medical Center in 1993.
Her most recent past experience was at the Children's
Hospital in Pittsburgh in staff nurse, clinical specialist and
management positions.
Susan has
presented on a variety of trauma and injury prevention topics.
