That’s what Diana
Blimline said after her daughter Beverly’s surgery at Penn
State Children’s Hospital. Beverly had been complaining of
chest pain and was referred to the Children’s Hospital where
physicians found a tennis ball size tumor in her chest.
From
there, the pediatric surgical team removed the tumor using an
advanced technique called Minimally Invasive Surgery. Using
special surgical instruments, they reduced the size of the
tumor and removed it through tiny incisions.
For Beverly and other children this means less discomfort,
a much smaller scar and a quicker recovery. Diane and Beverly
couldn’t be more thankful for this level of care so close to
home.
