In accordance with the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine,

Penn State College of Medicine no longer accepts foreign medical students

for any kind of clinical rotation.

Application Procedure

Applicants must complete a Visiting Student Application.  All requested information on the application must be completed accurately.  Applications will not be processed until all necessary supporting documentation has been received.  Completed applications are sorted in chronological order based on date received.  Approved applicants will be informed of the decision by e-mail.

Requests for Visiting Medical Student rotations

will not be processed until JULY 1st 

(all PSU College of Medicine student requests must be processed first)

Because of limited space available for clinical positions, Penn State medical students are given priority in scheduling elective rotations. Visiting medical student positions will not be filled until Penn State student assignments have been completed. Visiting medical students are limited to two four-week electives or a maximum of eight weeks at the College of Medicine. Applicants must follow the Penn State academic calendar.
