This statewide program is a unique medical education and training network that links a distinct interdisciplinary health professions training model with medically underserved communities throughout the Commonwealth.

 

The PA AHEC Program is actively:

Increasing access to primary health care services,

Improving access to quality of life,

Advancing access to health promotion and disease prevention and 

Providing access to a health professions workforce through development, recruitment and retention.

 

 

 

The PA AHEC Program operates statewide with seven regional centers located throughout the state.  

 

 

 

Each region operates in partnership with a participating medical school.

 

                                        

 

 

 

The Program Office, located in Hershey, PA, is housed within The PA State University College of Medicine, Center for Primary Care, Department of Family and Community Medicine.
