CNMRR Facility User Information

Welcome to the Center for NMR Research (CNMRR) at Penn State College of Medicine. The CNMRR is a magnetic resonance imaging facility for animals and human research, providing state-of-the-art MRI methodologies and expertise for in vivo studies to all the investigators from PSHMC and UP.  For additional information, please contact Dr. Qing X. MRI Laboratory

The Department of Radiology provides the Center for NMR Research with 6,500 sq. ft. of laboratory space, which includes:

 

 

 

 

 

MRI Systems

These two systems are dedicated for research activities.

This system is reserved one day per week for research activities.

MRI Methods (What MRI can do for your research)

MRI allows for in vivo imaging studies for humans and animals. In addition to the conventional anatomical imaging methods, CNMRR provides the new MRI modalities for advanced research:

Functional MRI (fMRI)
Quantitative parametric mapping
Quantitative morphological measurement
Diffusion Imaging (DWI and DTI)
Tractography
Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS)
