Welcome to the Center for NMR Research (CNMRR) at Penn State College of Medicine.
The CNMRR is
a magnetic resonance imaging facility for animals and human
research, providing state-of-the-art MRI
methodologies and expertise for in vivo studies to all the
investigators from PSHMC and UP. For additional information, please contact Dr. Qing X. Yang
at qyang@psu.edu, or by phone
at (717) 531-6069.
MRI Laboratory
The Department of Radiology provides the Center
for NMR Research with 6,500 sq. ft. of laboratory space, which
includes:
MRI Systems
These two systems are dedicated for research activities.
This system is reserved one day per week for research
activities.
MRI Methods (What
MRI can do for your research)
MRI allows for in vivo imaging studies for humans and
animals. In addition to the conventional anatomical imaging
methods, CNMRR provides the new MRI modalities for advanced
research:
Functional MRI (fMRI)
Quantitative parametric mapping
Quantitative morphological measurement
Diffusion Imaging (DWI and DTI)
Tractography
Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS)
