Diabetes Education:

Call (717) 531-3592 for appointments (covered by most insurance) An interested patient should obtain a referral from his or her physician's office and an authorization from the insurance company to ensure insurance coverage.  Our program is recognized by the American Diabetic Association.

  1. Basic Classes-Mary Collins, CDE (choose 1, 2, or 3 classes)
          1. Basics- diabetes review including nutrition for patients and families (2 hours)
          2. Meters-meter type is chosen based on insurance coverage and assessment of patient's needs/specific abilities.
              Education in use provided (11/4 hours)
          3. Medications- patient is taught insulin administration (1 hour)
