The G.M. Leader Family Laboratory for Alzheimer’s Disease
Research is a multi-disciplinary center dedicated to memory
and aging studies. The main aims of the center are to identify
the underlying causes of memory loss associated with aging and
Alzheimer’s disease and to develop interventions to improve
memory and cognition. The range of expertise in brain research
represented by the investigators in this program includes basic
research at the molecular level, in animal models, structural
and functional brain imaging, cognitive and behavioral markers
of memory loss, intervention trials, and clinical management of
memory and cognitive disorders of aging. The expertise of the
biomedical investigators in collaboration with
Country
Meadows retirement community provides a favorable
environment for translational research in aging and memory.
Through integrated laboratory and field research teams, research
outcomes can more quickly be applied in clinical samples. |
