“The Patient Project” is an integral part of the Medical Humanities course during your first year of medical school and is intended to provide you with a longitudinal study of a single patient with a chronic illness. The exercise focuses around student visits with the patient in his/her home environment. Students are assigned in pairs, matching those having cars to those individuals without cars.
Additional information concerning “The Patient Project” will be forthcoming when you arrive on campus in August. In the meantime, I ask that you complete the section below and return this sheet to my office no later than August 1, 2008 so that appropriate preparations can be made on your behalf.
Thank you. I look forward to meeting you this fall.
