Ovid is changing

OVID is
launching a new interface, OvidSP, February 4, 2008. The
new version provides a simpler faster way to search
using either the Basic or the Syntax Search mode. The
Basic Search mode allows users to enter any search topic
or question. Results are relevancy ranked just like
Google. The Syntax Search mode supports controlled
vocabulary searching using MeSH and Boolean operators.
Saved searches in the previous OVID interface will be
available in the new OvidSP. Call the Reference Desk
(x8634) for OvidSP demonstrations. Both the existing and
new versions of OVID are available on the library web
site until February 3, 2008.
Click on Ovid then "Try OvidSP".

EXAM MASTER ONLINE is a newly updated USMLE
and board preparation and review tool that
provides access to thousands of basic and
clinical sciences questions. The completely
revised interface allows for quick and easy
navigation, and provides students with the
ability to create very customized practice
exams and study blocks. Detailed score
reporting helps the student target their
studies and identify strong and weak areas.
In November, EXAM MASTER completely revised
the testing interface to closely match what
is actually used on the USMLE exam. This
new test mode interface has excellent
navigational tools, and includes other
features found on the exam including the
ability to attach notes to each question.
This system is in use at over 40 academic
health centers and teaching hospitals.Free
