Setup Instructions for the Wireless Network for Vista

Minimum specs for wireless access:

      1. Card must support WPA.
2. Card must be 802.11b capable.
3. Must support 802.1x PEAP authentication.
4. User needs account on HERSHEYMED domain.

Go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet,  Network Sharing Center:

Click on "Manage Wireless Networks"  on the left side

Click on Add button


Manually Create on the Next Screen

Type "pscomnet" (do not use quotes) for the network name
For  Security Type choose "WPA Enterprise" from the drop down menu
Encryption type is set to "TKIP"
Check "Connect even if the network is not broadcasting"
Click on NEXT then CLOSE

Right Click on pscomnet
Choose Properties
Make certain all three boxes are checked

Go to Security Tab -
     Security type - WPA-Enterprise
     Encryption type - TKIP
     Authentication method - EAP (PEAP)

Click on Settings

Uncheck
Validate server certificate.
Click on Configure button.

do not use windows password

Uncheck Automatically use Windows logon name.

Click OK, OK,  and OK

           Click on the Wireless Icon in the Taskbar (bottom right)

            You must enter your ePass credentials:

epass credentials

 Username is your ePass
 Password is your ePass password
 Logon domain is HERSHEYMED
