Liaison
Program
Personal Librarian Services to
Penn State Hershey Medical & Graduate Students
The George T. Harrell Health Sciences Library is
introducing a Personal Librarian program as part of the Library Liaison
Program. The Personal Librarian will assist the First Year Medical and
Graduate students (starting with incoming students
August, 2008) up until the day they graduate. The
Personal Librarian may assist you in the following ways:
-
Assist with finding information on the variety of
topics you will be covering in your classes.
-
The George T. Harrell Health Sciences Library
provides access to many online books and journals. Please visit the
Harrell Gateway (http://www.hmc.psu.edu/library/eresources/index.htm)
to fully appreciate the Library’s print and online collections.
The Personal Librarian may assist with navigating the Harrell Gateway.
-
Assist with chosing
the correct databases or resources as well as
composing a proper search strategy.
The goal of the Personal Librarian
Services is to enable easier access to information for Medical and Graduate
students without being invasive.
If you need more information or want
to know who your Personal Librarian is, please contact Nic Cecchino at
