The HIV/ID Affinity Group serves as an incubator and
discussion forum for the development of research
initiatives. In addition it provides oversight for the
content of training programs and for student participation
in training programs and the ID interest group.
The
HIV (and Related Disease) Epidemiology Research Training
Program was initiated in January 2007 (funded by the
Woodward Endowment for Medical Sciences) and designed to
support the design and implementation of epidemiology
related research initiatives in the U.S. and globally.
The
Student ID Interest Group is a Penn State student
society developed as an integral part of the training
program to provide a forum to support student participation
in research projects and career development.
