Penn State Hershey Medical Center offers
health, dental and vision coverage for you, and if applicable,
your spouse or domestic partner and dependents. You choose the
level of coverage suitable for you and your family. We offer a
Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) with a Preferred Provider
Organization (PPO) to provide top quality healthcare coverage.
Our comprehensive dental and vision plans allow you to select
any licensed provider, whether participating or
non-participating. We also offer Healthcare and Dependent Day
Care reimbursement programs through our Flexible Spending
Accounts (FSA).
Life Insurance and Disability
Penn
State Hershey Medical Center offers company paid life and
disability insurance coverage for all full-time employees.
Employee supplemental life and disability is also
available. The company provides Business Travel Accident
insurance to all employees. Other participant paid insurance coverage includes additional
group term and accidental death and dismemberment life insurance,
long-term disability and Whole Life insurance policies.
Retirement Savings Plans
Penn State Hershey Medical Center
contributes 5% of your annual salary to the 401(k) Savings
Plan on your behalf. Realizing the importance of saving for
retirement, the company requires a non-elective 5% salary
reduction by employees to the 401(k) Savings Plan. You may
also contribute voluntarily to either the 401(k) Savings
Plan or the 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity Program up to the
federally allowed maximum limit.
Educational Opportunities
Penn State Hershey Medical Center has
several programs to assist you with your personal and
professional growth. We have a tuition discount program
from Penn State University where you, your dependent
college-age children, and after 2 years of full-time
employment, your spouse will receive a 75% discount on
tuition. We offer a tuition reimbursement program for
job-related degree programs. In addition, we offer and
