Among other examples of the department’s outreach to the medical center community are:

• The publication of Wild Onions, a literary magazine,
• Post-graduate humanities courses for medical center physicians and faculty
• Co-sponsorship of the Hershey Society for the History of Medicine Lectures
• An annual retreat for the resident physicians of the clinical departments.
