Social Work
Having a child who requires specialized care and hospitalization is
stressful. Your social worker makes this experience easier by addressing your
concerns and suggests mechanisms for coping. Things such as information, resources and
literature pertaining to coping with a child who has cancer are available. They can
advocate for you and your child in matters concerning school, insurance and your
employer. Through the special resources available they promote healthy coping for
patients and their families.
