Our Programs

Children’s Hematology is the care of children with blood disorders. These diseases range in complexity and severity from minor to more severe and life threatening. Penn State Children’s Hospital provides care for even the most complex hematologic disorders in infants, children, adolescents and young adults.

Some of the disorders that we commonly manage include:

  • Sickle Cell Anemia
  • Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP)
  • Anemias
  • Bleeding Disorders
  • Hemophilia
