The
pediatric endocrinology service staff at Penn
State Children's Hospital cares for patients who have been diagnosed with
endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes and low blood sugar;
growth and failure to thrive; obesity, early and late puberty; adolescent
menstrual and breast problems; metabolic and genetic bone disorders; problems of
thyroid, adrenals, pituitary, and genitalia; high cholesterol and other lipid
disorders; fluid and electrolyte abnormalities; and various inborn errors of
metabolism.
