Basic Diabetes Education

When: Weekly
Where: University Physicians Group, Cherry Drive, 2nd Floor, Lois High Community Library (across from Fox's Market)
Cost: Billed to Insurance

You can sign up for one, two, or all three classes:

  1. Diabetes Basics (2 hours)
    Definition of Type 1 vs. Type 2, management tools including meal planning, low and high blood sugar
  2. Self-Blood Glucose Monitoring (1 hour)
    Choosing & learning to use a meter
  3. Insulin (1 hour)
    Starting/using insulin by a syringe or pen, mixing insulin, and insulin's effect on blood glucose
