JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes
The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the JDRF is holding it's Walk To Cure Diabetes on Saturday, May 3, 2008
At Lubrano Park on the Penn State University Campus. Partnering with corporate sponsors, it is anticipated that over 200 walkers will raise $50,000 for diabetes research. Join the State College JDRF family at the home of the State College Spikes for a fun morning of family activities including inflatables, dizzy bats, and more! Lunch will be provided at noon. Diabetes information will be available throughout the event.

American Diabetes Association – Tour de Cure 2008
The Harrisburg Chapter of ADA invites you to "ride," on May 31, 2008! The event will be held at the Yellow Breeches Middle School in Boiling Springs, PA.

2007 Diabetes Gala raises $37,465 for Diabetes Research

On January 16, Robert Gabbay, M.D., Ph.D., (left), co-chair of Penn State Institute for Diabetes and Obesity, was presented with a check for $37,465. This was the total amount raised for the center at the 2007 Diabetes Gala. Gabbay received a check from the gala’s committee chair, Jeffrey Boland (right).
