Our department provides care for patients with all types of skin disorders. Specialty services include patch testing for skin allergies, advanced evaluation of hair and scalp disorders, interpretation of skin pathology, occupational dermatology, acne research/treatment by recognized experts and cosmetic procedures.

Our dermatologic surgeons perform Mohs micrographic surgery which involves microscopically controlled surgical removal of skin cancers, most commonly basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Detection, management, and prevention of skin cancer, most notably malignant melanoma, is a top priority.

The Dermatology program at Penn State Hershey Medical Center of Penn State University has a four-part mission:
