Peptide/Protein Sequencing (Edman Degradation)

An Applied Biosystems Procise 491 was acquired in May, 2001 for sequence analysis. We have the capability to sequence from blots and can routinely sequence 5-20 pmol of non-blocked peptide. Cost is $15/residue sequenced, with a 5-residue/$75 minimum charge.  For protocols, please see Transfer and CNBr Protocols or download the ABRF Tutorial on Electroblotting and Digestion for Protein Sequencing by Edman Degradation (PDF file).

To schedule service, please contact Anne Stanley at x6087, x4055, or via email at astanley@psu.edu.
