Meet Your Children's Miracle Network Advisory Board Chairman:
Frank Miles
Frank Miles,
vice president, secretary, and general counsel, Hershey
Entertainment & Resorts Company, began serving as chairman of
the Children’s Miracle Network Advisory Board in September 2007.
Frank, who received his B.A. from Bucknell University and his
J.D. from George Washington National Law Center, has always been
involved with causes and organizations for those who are
under-represented or cannot represent themselves—and that
includes children.
For Frank,
there is also a more personal connection to Children's Miracle
Network. His son was
born two and a half months premature. The Miles family spent
time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a nearby hospital
while their two pound newborn grew. Frank’s son starts college
this fall, and he feels fortunate for his son’s health and wants
to help other parents and children who may be in similar
situations.
Children's
Miracle Network is a
natural fit for Frank, and for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts,
who focuses on families. Penn State Children’s Hospital and Penn
State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center care for the kids of our
community, and that includes the students and employees of the
Milton Hershey School. Supporting the Milton Hershey School and
Hershey community is central to the Hershey Entertainment &
Resorts’ mission, and Children's Miracle Network plays a vital role in the quality of
care available to children in our area.
For Frank, the
most rewarding aspect of being an Advisory Board member is
hearing about the direct impact of Children's Miracle Network’s efforts, which gives
him the desire to do more. As a Board member, it is important to
Frank to be able to represent that Children's Miracle Network maximizes the benefit of
each dollar contributed, which he has seen to be the case.
