Advisory Board
Meet Your Children's Miracle Network Advisory Board Member:

Lori Burkholder
Lori
Burkholder, news anchor for WGAL-TV8, is the newest WGAL
representative to join the Children’s Miracle Network Advisory
Board. Lori began her involvement with Children’s Miracle
Network at the Telethon eighteen years ago. Lori initially
helped to write and produce the Miracle Stories that aired
during the Telethon, a responsibility she takes very seriously
and with a great deal of respect.
Lori is amazed
by the work done at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital and
honored to be a small part of what goes on there through
Children’s Miracle Network. Since becoming a mom, Lori has a
whole new perspective of the importance of the care provided at
Children’s Hospital. Now that she is a member of the Advisory
Board, she is looking forward to contributing new ideas and ways
to increase awareness about Children’s Miracle Network. She
wants to let others see how Children’s Miracle Network works,
and let them realize for themselves the importance of giving
back to our kids.
Lori, a Middletown High School and
Millersville University graduate, spent the first ten years of
her career at WGAL hosting and producing “12:30 Live” at WGAL.
The show won several Emmy Awards and brought Lori her first
individual Emmy.
An avid James Patterson fan, who also
enjoys American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, and House Hunters,
Lori is a wife and mother to a three- and a five-year old. Her
family sets her straight, helping her not to take herself too
seriously. When asked to describe her philosophy on life, Lori
shared that she doesn’t want to be remember for her job, but for
what she has done.
Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State
Hershey Children’s Hospital is honored to have Lori serve as a
member of our Advisory Board. Thank you, Lori, for your selfless
service! |
