Kids Helping Kids
Something special
happens when kids help other kids and
here's the proof!
These children and teens witnessed it first-hand as they orchestrated
various fundraisers to help Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey
Children’s Hospital further its critical mission.
Children's Miracle
Network’s mission is to raise funds for pediatric services and create
community awareness of children’s issues. Penn State Hershey Children’s
Hospital is one of 170 Children's Miracle Network affiliated hospitals
worldwide and is central Pennsylvania’s only children’s hospital.
With thousands of pediatric visits each year, Children's Miracle Network is
touching the lives of area ill and injured children. The founding
philosophy of Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit
organization, is that money raised stays in the community where it was
raised. Therefore, funds raised by Children's Miracle Network in
central Pennsylvania go directly towards pediatric patient services,
groundbreaking research, life-saving pieces of equipment, and educational
resources at Children’s Hospital.
Last year over $3.1
million was raised one dollar at a time for Children's Miracle Network at
Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, and
$38,444.33
of that donation came from children and
teens in our community who held “Kids Helping Kids” fundraisers to benefit
Children’s Miracle Network. These are the types of projects that can fit
into a school, team, or organization's calendar that children will never
forget. They’re making a major difference in the lives of their peers!
Will you join us in
support of Children's Miracle Network? You'll need an adult to serve
as the liaison to assist the children and teens in running a fundraiser to
benefit Children's Miracle Network and Penn State Hershey Children's
Hospital. Children's Miracle Network can support your efforts with pledge
forms, prizes, promotional materials, speakers (e.g. local miracle kids,
physicians) and other items needed to organize and run your charitable
event. You may even choose to present a check for the funds raised during
the Telethon broadcast on WGAL-TV8.
