| Description |
The study is comparing two FDA
approved drugs on the yearly rate of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
worsening |
| What is expected of me? |
Attend 10 morning visits over 56
weeks. Have breathing tests done at all visits. Keep a daily diary. Measure
Peak Flows daily. Have a chest x-ray and baseline ECG. |
| Inclusion Criteria |
40 years old or older; diagnosed with COPD, bronchitis or emphysema; 10
years or more of a smoking history |
| Exclusion Criteria |
Pregnant or breastfeeding; lung surgery |
