Pediatric Research Day
Pediatric Research Day is a biennial event that celebrates the promise of today's research becoming tomorrow's medical advances. The event also is an opportunity for researchers and caregivers at the College of Medicine, other Penn State campuses and in the community to discover new applications for their work or to talk about potential areas for collaboration.
"We are the region's leading provider of medical care for children, and we continually seek innovations to improve the quality of care we deliver. By investing in research, we are able to discover better approaches to preventing and treating childhood diseases and to utilize today's most advanced therapies. By sharing our knowledge through forums such as Pediatric Research Day, we contribute to improving children's heath everywhere," said Barbara Miller, M.D., Chief, Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, and Vice Chair for Research, Penn State Children's Hospital.
Throughout the day, researchers will present published and unpublished research related to the health and welfare of children and teenagers.
A lunch buffet will be provided, followed by poster symposia and networking sessions from 2:00-5:00 p.m. That evening, the fifth annual Children's Health Advocacy Dinner will be held at the HERSHEY Lodge.
The Fifth Annual Children's Health Advocacy Dinner
This complimentary evening brings children's health providers together to celebrate and recognize fellow colleagues for their accomplishments. Every year the Children's Health Advocacy Award and Distinguished Alumni Award are presented, as well as recognition of the practices and physicians from the community that works with our residents through out the year.
We hope you can join us for an evening of celebration and recognition!
