Our goal is for your child and family to be comfortable while you are staying
at Penn State Children's Hospital. One parent/caregiver is allowed to spend the
night with their child in the hospital. We recommend parents bring familiar
items from home, such as a blanket, pillow or stuffed animal, to help comfort
your child.
While you are at the Children's Hospital many resources will be available.
The Playroom is open for our youngest pediatric patients. Daily craft
activities take place at 10 am and 2 pm Pediatric patients and their
siblings are welcome to attend.
The Teen Lounge is available for pediatric patients and siblings ages 9
through 18. Computers, video games, air hockey, and crafts are available for
use.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room is a place for parents/caregivers to relax,
to shower, to sleep (registration required), to eat, to do laundry, to research,
to meet privately with medical staff, or to talk with other families.
Visiting hours are between the hours of 11 am and 8:30 pm. No latex balloons
are allowed within the hospital. Flowers may not be permitted within certain
units of the hospital. Please check with staff prior to bringing flowers to a
patient room.
