Perspectives in ADHF Management: Thresholds for Pharmacotherapy
(I3529-06-R)
|
| Please note that there is a typographical error in the early
printing of the
"Currently Used In-Hospital Treatments for the Management of Acute Decompensated Heart Failure Table."
In some of the printed versions, there is the following error: Dosage Column,
Natriuretic Peptides/Nesiritide, final bullet should read:
When necessary, the infusion dose of nesiritide can be increased.
In the VMAC trial there was limited experience with increasing the
doses in patients who had central hemodynamic monitoring as follows:
0.005 μg/kg/min (preceded by a bolus of 1 μg/kg),
no more frequently than every 3 hours up to a maximum dose of 0.03
μg/kg/min. Nesiritide should not be titrated at frequent intervals
as is done with other IV agents that have a shorter half-life.
In the printing process, the μ symbol was
incorrectly converted.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this might
have caused. |
