The Cheston M. Berlin Service Award
The award will consist of a commemorative plaque and an additional gift not
to exceed the sum of $400. The additional gift may consist of a Penn State chair
or other objects representative of the society's appreciation of the individual.
Number of Awards
Variable, averaging one to two per year.
Eligibility
The individual(s) nominated for the award may be faculty, students,
administrative staff, alumni, or any person directly or indirectly associated
with the Penn State College of Medicine. Criteria for eligibility will be based
upon their having provided services to the society or its members that merits
recognition.

Nominations
The College of Medicine's Alumni Society, faculty, staff, students, and
alumni may submit nominations.
Selecting Body
The final choice will be made by the Alumni Society president in consultation
with the executive members of the board, or placed up to the vote of the board,
at the president's discretion.
Calendar
Nominations are solicited each winter. Selection is made in early spring and
awards presented during the fall Reunion Weekend.
